Floor Wars
What is floor wars?
Dancers will go head to head in an elimination style dance battle. Each dancer has 30-45 seconds to a random song to put everything they have out on the floor before they switch. After both dancers go, the song will switch and both dancers will have another 30-45 second to prove their skills, before judges vote to decide who moves on and who is eliminated.

HarrisFurg Floor Wars 2027 Conduct and Rules
Submission Deadline
Each contestant MUST have their application submitted to the HarrisFurg, by the deadline date. Failure to do so, will result in a denied entry.
Competing
Each competitor will be assigned a side of the dance floor before beginning. One competitor will be chosen to dance first.
A piece of randomly selected music will begin playing. The first competitor will have 30 to 45 seconds to dance to the music. After the second competitor will be given 30 to 45 seconds to dance to the same piece of music.
The process will repeat for a second piece of music, where the order of competitors will reverse, (the previous competitor dancing first will dance second this time)!
Judging
2-3 Judges will be selected prior to competition by the convention.
Each Judge will watch each competitor and decide on a winner each round to move on!
The host will ask the Judges who will be axed from the competition, The judges will point to the competitor who has been eliminated that round!
This is a fast-paced event, and the judges’ decisions are final and will not be contested during the event.
Contest Format
Winners of each round will continue to dance in the next round against other winners, like a bracket, until only one competitor remains!
The final competitor will be crowned Floor war champ and will receive a free con ticket for next year con and a small gift!
